About the Members’ GiveHub

Since its introduction in 2022, the initiative has become a core part of the membership offer.

Apply for up to £10,000/year towards a project that helps to improve lives through technology.

Beneficiaries can include organisations or charities registered in the UK.

As a Nominet member, you’re among the most digitally connected individuals and organisations in the UK, working at the forefront of the internet. Hulme Grammar School

An initiative to boost education and inclusion in the Oldham area, has received a £10,000 funding boost, thanks to Nominet member Peter Savic, Director at Plum Communications.

To apply for the Members’ GiveHub, you need to have been a Nominet member for at least 12 months.

You need a Member Hub account to apply – it only takes couple of minutes to request one here.

The applications deadline for this financial year is the 13th March 2026, please make sure you submit your applications before this date.

3. Let the organisation know you’re applying for funding on their behalf.

4. Submit your application through the Member Hub.

5. The panel will review your application.

6. We’ll let you know the panel’s decision, or if we need further information.

Meet the givehub panel

The panel is made up of five members who bring experience and perspective to the process and ensure the applications meet the criteria. The panel meets at the start of each month to consider applications, with support from the Nominet team.

Chrissie has worked in the domain industry since 2002 and is the founder of Penguin Internet Ltd, where she supports individuals and small businesses with web hosting, domain names, and making technology feel less overwhelming. With a strong focus on customer service, she believes in clear, friendly communication and providing support that genuinely makes a difference.

Outside of her business, Chrissie volunteers as a school governor and is an active member of her local PTA. She is a passionate advocate for digital education and inclusion, working to ensure that all children – and their families – have the tools and confidence to navigate an increasingly digital world.

With an initial background in education, working on software development for the first “Micros in school scheme”, I moved into local government advisory work and helped develop the first GCSE courses in IT.

After spending some time with OFSTED, supporting computer science I set up the current company with my business partner worked with large companies like British Steel and Quorn Foods to develop and promote their education support materials. This expanded into our current company which focusses on large scale SaaS systems.

In my spare time I maintain an interest in learning through technology, and I’m currently working on a live action version of a video game using IoT tools which would enable a year-group of students to interact using WiFi and RFID.
